Pyramids in Giza Stately pyramid of Cheops (Huf)
The most ancient and big of pyramids in Giza belongs to the Pharaoh of the IV dynasty Huf who is better known as Cheops who governed, probably, between 2589 and 2566. The most ancient Egyptians called it «A glory place to Huf». Snachalo the pyramid had height of 140 m and length of the party of the basis of 230 m, but its top blocks have been removed, and the height has decreased by three metres. The pyramid is combined approximately from 2 300 000 blocks in average weight 2, the 5th ton (though certain nearly 15 tons weigh!) . This huge weight provides its stability as the most part of pressure is transferred inside, but to the direction to the centre, or down, to the rocky basis which was under it. Till nedavneshny time was registered that in a pyramid only three chambers: one in the basis and two in a superstructure. Experts consider that the project two times changed: the underground chamber has been left in favour of average to which then have preferred the top. Chambers have been plundered for a long time before archeologists have reached them; the sarcophagus to Huf was the unique remained subject. But in April, 1993 the group of scientists of Germany by means of a long-distance boat has found a case a door with handles which allegedly hides the fourth chamber and where thieves have not visited. Here can be a mummy and Cheops treasures. The head of the Supreme council of antiquities - doctor Za-vi Havas - argues that there is no chamber that "door" is the device for smoothing of an internal surface of mine From «The chamber of the tsar» and «The chamber of the queen» in the northern and southern directions (at first it is horizontal, then obliquely up) so called "ventilating" channels in width 20-25 depart see. At all this channels «Chamber of the tsar», known from XVII century, through, they are open both from below, and from above (on pyramid sides) whereas the bottom ends of channels «Chamber of the queen» separates from a surface of a wall apprx. 13 cm, they have been found at a prostukivaniye in 1872. The top ends of these channels do not reach a surface. The end of the southern channel is closed by the stone doors found in 1993 by means of a long-distance boat of "Upuaut II". In 2002 by means of the newest updating of a boat the door has been drilled, but behind it there was a small cavity and one more door. That is further while unclear, but before the completion of research works the truth will not reveal.
