• The exhibition 100 Years in Post-Production: Resurrecting a Lost Landmark of Black Film History opens on Friday, October 24, with clips from 101-year-old film footage of the earliest known surviving feature film with a cast of black actors—which was discovered in MoMA’s Biograph Studio collection—along with research findings, archival materials, and film stills. This event is held in conjunction with the artist’s current film retrospective, Bill Morrison: Compositions, and gallery installation, Bill Morrison: Re-Compositions.
