November 16, 2014, 1:30 p.m. — Divas and the Demimonde in Toulouse-Lautrec’s Paris
This gallery session explores the key role of the fascinating, creative, sometimes dangerous women who served as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s muses. The artist celebrated the city’s demimonde, and these “divas” that so inspired Toulouse-Lautrec continue to fascinate us today.
In conjunction with the exhibition The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec: Prints and Posters
Gallery Sessions, impromptu interactions facilitated by Museum educators that explore the creative process, art history, and the experience of art, take place daily in select galleries.
