Simplify Your Beauty Routine: 5 Easy Looks in Under 5 Minutes
When it comes to simplifying your life, streamlining your beauty routine is a great place to start. For most moms, finding the time for a full makeup application on an everyday basis is pretty difficult. Luckily, summer is a terrific time to scale back because a full face of makeup can look too obvious in the bright summer sun. Add humidity and sweat to the party and going overboard just isn’t practical. In this post, I will share five easy makeup looks that you can complete in under five minutes with only three products each. Adding just a touch of color (and a bit of concealer) can brighten your mood and boost your confidence without a big time commitment. I did give myself a head start by laying a base of L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Skin Smoother Finishing Cream. Quick and Easy Makeup Look #1
This great everyday look keeps it simple while brightening eyes and drawing attention to your lips with a splash of bold color. Start by adding concealer where you need it. A luminizing formula reflects light, making it ideal for these areas. 2. Add two coats of mascara. If you have shorter lashes, use a lengthening formula. If you have thin lashes, use a thickening formula. 3. Quick and Easy Makeup Look #2
This makeup application is perfect for the beach, pool, or other outdoor activities. You will need:
Stick Foundation (I used Maybelline Fit Me! Add your stick foundation only to the areas where you need more coverage. 2. I like to do a slight cat eye with my liner, but the choice is up to you. A good budge-proof formula is key for summertime activities. 3. Complete the look with lip and cheek stain on your lips, the apples of your cheeks, and just a touch on the bridge of your nose to give you a sun-kissed appearance. Quick and Easy Makeup Look #3
Who says a nighttime look has to be complicated? Dot on your foundation over discolored areas and blend well. 2. Use the wet shadow to line your upper lids. Swipe on your gloss and don’t forget to throw it in your bag for touchups. You will need:
Concealer (I used L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer)
Pink or Peach Cream Blush (I used Flower Win Some, Rouge Some Crème Blush)
Mascara (I used Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara)
1. Use the blush in place of cream eye shadow and blend up just past your crease and apply to lips as you would a balm. 3. You will need:
Luminizer (I used Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer in Bronze Shimmer)
Brown Eye Pencil (I used Pencil Me In Cosmetics Eye Pencil in Brownie)
Lip Lacquer (I used Wet Wild MegaLast Liquid Lip Color in Raisin the Roof)
1. I applied it to my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, above the cupid’s bow, under eye area, and in the folds between my nose and mouth. Then swipe the luminizer over eyelids, blending up just beyond the crease to add a bit of shimmer. 2. Use your finger to blend the eye pencil and the luminizer. Line your lower lashes as well, if desired. Define your brows by filling them with the pencil, using very light strokes. Blend with an eyebrow brush or q-tip. 3.
