CARBURETOR DISASSEMBLY

Disconnect the fuel hose, air vent hoses and overflow hose.
Release the throttle position sensor wire from the clamp.
Remove the bolts, clamp, top cover and O-ring.

05, 06: Remove the needle holder and jet needle. After '06: Remove the jet needle/holder assembly.
'05, '06: Check the jet needle for wear, nicks or other damage.

Remove the throttle valve plate and roller from the throttle valve. Check the throttle valve, throttle valve seal, roller and throttle valve plate for scratches, wear or damage. Replace them if necessary. |

Remove the throttle shaft torx screw. Lift up the throttle shaft arm and remove the throttle valve assembly. |
