All-American Girl: 16 Fourth of July Fashion-Inspired Looks!
That bright red lipsticked grin? Cause I am … so excited. As I’ve gotten a little older I’ve grown to love the 4th of July. Other than the massive realization of gratitude for the freedom that I enjoy in this blessed land of opportunity, I love all the details. Red, white, and blue is probably my favorite color combination of all time! It’s so crisp and classic, and currently super trendy! Also, we haven’t even discussed stripes yet! Those are another obsession of mine. Any reason to pile on the stripes is good in my book. Watermelon, corn on the cob, a hot dog off the grill, a hand full of barbecue chips, and some Texas sheet cake for dessert … It’s nearly midnight and just typing those delicious words makes me hungry! Time with family, listening to country music, and watching the fireworks from the side of the highway are just a few more of my favorite things about the 4th. You can bet that I will be donning my stars and stripes all summer long. There is just too much fun 4th of July fashion out there to only wear on the 4th of July. The key is to mix up those patterns and colors with lots of bold reds, classic navy, and crisp whites; add some metallics; keep it fresh and understated; and at the same time be bold and maybe a little over the top. There is room for all of that in this land of liberty! I’m an all-American girl and I need to be free — free to be me, free to wear lots of red lipstick, and free to twirl and wave around like a flag in the summer wind. I love it so much that I think it will stay up for all 365 days of the year. Here are 16 outfits that I will be wearing this Independence Day and way beyond!! And for more ideas and amazing patriotic looks of the season, watch the cutest video you’ve ever seen made by my fellow Girl with Glasses, Summer Bellessa!
